Science: Solids & Liquids
In our solids and liquids unit, kids are testing solids to determine color, shape, hardness, and whether they can roll, stack, sink float, or are magnetic.
Lesson 1 - Comparing the silver ball and the blue spoon.
Students were given the two solids and asked to use their senses to compare. They worked with a partner to discuss the color, shape, feel, sound, and even smell of the two objects. I was super impressed with all of the scientific words I heard!
Lesson 2 - Properties of Solids
Children were given 20 solids and asked to sort by color and then shape. They did a great job!
